THE STORY: Little Women: The Musical brings to life the beloved classic novel by Louisa May Alcott, telling the timeless story of the four March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—as they journey from childhood to womanhood with guidance and love from their mother, Marmee, during the American Civil War. Driven by determination, independence, and love, the March family experience joy, heartbreak, ambition, and sacrifice. This heartfelt musical celebrates family, individuality, and the power of dreams, all set to a soaring score that captures the spirit and strength of these unforgettable women.

CASTING: All ethnicities, body types, and gender expressions encouraged to audition. Ages are stage age.
Jo March: (Female, 18-25) A passionate, imaginative aspiring writer. Strong-willed, independent, and fiercely loyal. The story’s central figure.
Vocal range: Mezzo with strong belt.
Meg March: (Female, 20-28) The eldest March sister. Responsible, romantic, and graceful. Dreams of a traditional life and marriage.
Vocal range: Soprano.
Beth March: (Female, 17-25) Gentle, selfless, and the moral compass of the family. Deeply kind and musical.
Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano.
Amy March: (Female, 16-22) The youngest and most ambitious sister. Vain, artistic, and often underestimated. Grows into a refined and determined young woman.
Vocal range: Mezzo with belt.
Marmee March: (Female, 40-60s) The March family matriarch. Strong, compassionate, wise. Holds the family together through hardship.
Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano.
Laurie Laurence: (Male, 18-25) Charming, wealthy, and full of life. Jo’s best friend and neighbor. Good-hearted and earnest.
Vocal range: Tenor.
Professor Bhaer: (Male, 30-45) A reserved, intellectual German professor. Has a kind heart and a deep connection with Jo.
Vocal range: Baritone.
Aunt March: (Female, 50-75) A wealthy, formidable woman. Sharp-tongued, traditional, and opinionated, but ultimately well-meaning.
Vocal range: Contralto or Mezzo.
Mr. Laurence: (Male, 50-70) Laurie’s grandfather. Stern but kind-hearted. Has a soft spot for Beth.
Vocal range: Baritone.
Mr. John Brooke: (Male, 20-30) Laurie’s tutor. Honest, respectable, and in love with Meg.
Vocal range: Baritone.
